Hashim headed a delegation to Paris to deliver a
letter from President of Iraq Ahmed Hassan
Al-Bakir to the President of France Charles
Degaul.

This photo was taken in December 1968 at the
Ambassador's residence. The delegation, at the
end of their official visit to France, visited
London at the invitation of the British
Government. Dr. Hashim met with Michael Stewart
(British Foreign Secretary) and with
representatives of iraq Petroleum Company (IPC).
The purpose of the visit to England was to
explore the possibilities of improving Iraq's
relation with Britain and with the oil
companies.

Muneef Al-Razzaz (one of the founder of the

Beirut. Dr. Al-Razzaz was imprisoned by Saddam
Hussain, later killed.
